To get the most of your candle, we recommend that it is left lit until an even pool of liquid wax forms on the full surface during the first light up. Place the candle in an area that has minimal draft. Also, to enjoy the beauty of the artwork and maximise the lantern like qualities of the jar, do clean the inside walls when the candle when it is cold.

Jars : Our glass jars are extra thick and 100% recyclable and accepted by all recycling centres. They come with screw on covers which we feel are safer than pull off covers which could come off accidently during handling and sending the jar crashing down.
Wicks : We only use cotton based metal free wicks which we straighten and attach to the jar by hand

Usage

As with all candles, taking some simple precautions and common sense will ensure that you enjoy your candle to the maximum safely.

  • Keep the wax free of matches, wick trimmings and other rubbish.
  • Keep wick centered & trimmed to about 8mm (to keep an even liquid pool on the surface).
  • Burn only on a stable heat resistant surface.
  • Keep out of drafts. Discontinue use when only a thin film of wax remains (about 8mm).
  • Do not move candle while burning or if wax is molten.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep lit candles well away from curtains and flammables.
  • Never use the lid to extinguish the flame. Always extinguish by blowing the flame out then covering the candle
